Expanding the Heart of the Home
The homeowners wanted to enhance their living space by expanding their kitchen and creating a light-filled, open-plan kitchen-diner. To achieve this, Andy and the team extended the existing kitchen and knocked through from the original layout to seamlessly integrate the new extension. Additionally, we knocked through from the lounge, allowing easy access to the newly created space and enhancing the home’s flow.
A Modern and Stylish Finish
To bring in more natural light and create a seamless connection between the home and the garden, we decided to install two stunning sets of Crittall-style black aluminium doors. These doors are not only a striking feature that enhances the overall aesthetic appeal of the property, but they also serve a practical purpose by offering an unobstructed view of the outdoor space. The sleek black frames provide a contemporary touch, making the home feel more open and airy. The addition of these stylish doors allows for effortless indoor-outdoor living, creating a perfect setting for hosting guests or enjoying family gatherings. Whether you're relaxing indoors or entertaining in the garden, these doors help create a welcoming flow between the two spaces, making the most of natural light and fresh air.
More Than Just a Kitchen Expansion
This double-height rear extension didn’t just transform the downstairs space; it also created a brand-new bedroom upstairs, significantly enhancing both the layout and functionality of the home. The additional bedroom offers much-needed extra space, providing the homeowners with a comfortable and versatile area that can be used as a guest room, home office, or even a private sanctuary for relaxation.
